Instead of short, grey, ground squirrels like we had in California, the trees in our yard here seem to be the domain of smaller red squirrels! They’re almost the same color as our dog – hope we don’t get them confused – HAH!
And here’s a little collage of snapshots – the one in the nook of the tree might be a juvenile – it’s a bit greyer than the other one and seemed smaller.
Of course, these might be sports model red squirrels, since they come with that cool dark stripe down the side!
