Birthday Box Watercolor

The idea for this watercolor painting actually came to me as part of a dream. In the dream, I was in art class and I noticed this large square box on the table, and the light/energy inside was starting to burst out of the box (which was wrapped in this colorful foil wrapping paper that we actually have.) So my teacher and I grabbed the box and took it outside so that it wouldn’t explode inside the school – not that it was going to be destructive, but it would just be better outside where there was more space. It was a really cool dream that stuck with me through most of the day.

Click the painting to see this design on the many products in my shop (like generic birthday cards – heh), and click here to get various sizes of unframed archival prints.
