A well-meaning person posted the URL for something called “Magical Rose” to a few email lists we’re on. It was one of those ‘share this with a friend’ thing. Well, the other day, we decided to get a fire-wall program, just because we don’t like the idea of people sneaking around our hard drive (it’s slow enough already!) without us giving the okay. So, firewall up and ready, we decided to give a little test to this seemingly innocent and loving site – YUP – it tried to read our NetBios, which is the doorway in for being able to read about everything we have on our hard drive. And it failed and got tattled on – Cool! *grin* (Overall, this is just ANOTHER good reason why this kinda ‘pass this along to your friends’ email stuff shouldn’t be, besides the obvious.)
