I’m trying my hand at watercolors again. I don’t really have a style yet, but I’m learning more about how the watercolor paints behave, and am really loving the watercolor block, as I never did get the hang of having to pre-stretch the paper. My first daliance is with an image of a red Calla Lily, and I’ve decided that I’m not going to judge whether it’s “good” or not, just that it is what it is – that’s made me a lot happier with the process! I actually guffawed out loud when I first read this sign in the supermarket the other day (and snuck a photo), but then I thought, please let this be a typo and not some new kind of baking trend! *grin*

Well, I’ve learned something – I had decided to do my calendars this year through DeviantArt, but have discovered that their calendar shipping is ridiculous – I wouldn’t even buy one of my own at that rate! I guess it took me by surprise because the shipping for their prints was so reasonable. In any case, I’ve now created my calendars through my cafepress shop, which makes it a bit easier too, as all my products can now use the same shopping cart and checkout, etc. So, now I re-present my Celtic Calendar and our California Wildflower Calendar – Buy Now! Make Great Gifts! Avoid the Rush! Etc. – LOL:

Just this: If you play auto-race computer games too much and then lay down to take a nap, it’s like trying to sleep on a boat.
