Art of FoxVox Celtic Cross-Stitch Patterns

This is pretty neat… I’m proud to announce that the good people at Stab and Stash have licensed a number of my Celtic and fine art designs to sell as cross stitch patterns! They have a handful available already – click here to check them out, especially the Celtic Autumn Leaves pattern (now that it’s October!), my Celtic Butterfly and Dragonfly designs are available too, and there are a few holiday designs as well!

Now, I’ve done a lot of crafts, but have never done cross-stitch myself, but those patterns look REALLY complex to me – I give you cross-stitchers a LOT of credit – LOL! Anyway – stop by and check out my page there, and the rest of their site as well – they have a lot of terrific artists represented there! Feel free to pass along the link to any cross-stitching friends who might be interested too.

(BTW, Stab and Stash are the ONLY people licensed to sell my art as cross-stitch patterns. If you happen to recognize any of my designs being sold as cross-stitch patterns on Ebay or anywhere else, those are illegal/stolen and I’d really appreciate a heads up. This has already happened once, unfortunately, but was notified by a few wonderful people and I had the situation taken care of. Thanks again to those watchful crafters!)

Foxes at FoxVox

A while ago we spotted a fox running around our yard and the pastures around the yard. One time, I even got a couple of photos that caught the little creature drinking from the bowls/trough of water we put out for the birds and rabbits!

And the other day we discovered that it wasn’t just one fox – there were at least three! On one of the hottest days of the summer, THREE of them came to refresh themselves at our little watering trough – and I managed to get a little video! It’s a little over a minute long, and you can mute the audio since it’s just the tv in the background, but it starts with one fox drinking from the bird bath/bowl on the podium and then going back to get his friends – LOL:

Color Shards Abstract Watercolor

This turned out to be my personal favorite of the latest run of watercolor projects that I did, but of course, I do like them all just for being themselves – hah! Color Shards was a no-brainer when I was considering what to name this abstract watercolor.

Both framed and unframed prints are available – click here for more information. The original is 14″x10″ on Aquarelle Arches hot press 140 lb. watercolor block paper.

This painting also adapts well to greeting cards, journals, buttons, and even t-shirts, which I added the words ‘color shards’ too in a shattered-splintered kind of font, for example:

Thanks for looking!

Celtic Star Design

I thought I’d try a somewhat different technique when I was playing with this new Celtic art, “Celtic Star”, and I’m rather tickled at the results! I’m glad it came out looking like it was spinning in motion clockwise, which was my intention, but sometimes in the middle of a project you’re not sure if it’s going to switch directions on you or not. (Get it? Clockwise? Switch direction? Ack – I think I need more sleep.)

In any case, it’s a star design that swirls into the center and each point of the star has a three point knotwork in it. I don’t have it available as a print yet, but it is available on ‘stuff’ like t-shirts and other gifty items, a few are shown below:

Click any image above or click here to check out the entire selection. The design looks really sharp on the brown t-shirts as well (not shown) since it’s all in tans and beiges and such.

Leaves on Water Painting

Yes, leaves again – how unusual for me! This painting actually took a LONG time because of all the little details. I think of the image as fallen autumn leaves on the surface of a pond, but in an abstract sort of way.

Both framed and unframed prints are available – click here for more information. The original is 14″x10″ on Aquarelle Arches hot press 140 lb. watercolor block paper.

As usual, I’ve also added this image to a bunch of neat products in my shop, for example:

I did a variated edge on the t-shirts because that’s always cooler than a straight square edge on something you’re wearing! Click here to see the entire selection of cards, blank journal, tiles, t-shirts, etc.

Thanks for looking!
