It was one of those rather rare, “soft”, rainy days, where the water just sat on the windshield in an uneven layer, rather than running down in rivulets. I took this shot through the windshield (obviously) – it’s the door to our little local post office. You can just make out the teal colored trim and lighter teal/turquiose handrails. I love the abstraction of it all.
And here’s another water shot that completely took me by surprise. I think the sun sparkles bouncing off the water came out like 6 pointed stars because it was a DIGITAL camera parsing the bright light, but it really does look like a glittering starfield on the water. (I altered the image only by turning it into a blue-ish duotone. Print available.)
