This is a black and white closeup photo of some of the white sage that grows in certain areas around here, up on long stalks. I went for black and white instead of color because the image couldn’t seem to capture the color as much as the interesting texture of it. The leaves themselves are succulent-ish and covered in soft whitish ‘fur’, and this particular plant grows in a group that lives right by our well. This same batch got wiped out in the flood a number of years ago (got mowed over by about 6 feet of water and were all ragged and iffy after the water had gone) but has come back fully now. I did make a greenish hued image of the white sage for shirts, mugs, cards, the journal, etc., hoping to capture the ‘flavor’ of the plants in some way.
