When we turn the water on for the hose, the faucet drips somewhat onto the ground beneath. Yesterday when I was ‘watering the tadpoles’ (for fresh water and water-airation, etc.) a little muddy pool had formed about the size of a softball. Later that day, when I got back home and was going to water the tadpoles again, I turned on the faucet again. But I noticed that the dirt underneath it wasn’t forming a puddle – when I looked closer I saw that the slow drip was landing right between the eyes of this humungous toad that had snuggled its way into the hole! It’s body was the size of the palm of a large hand. It sat there for a moment, and then flopped out of the hole and under the porch through a large opening. Guess toads aren’t into Chinese water torture!
