Was just on the phone chatting with our landlord, a cattle rancher who lives down the road from us. We got to talking about cars he had, and he mentioned that there was a 1930-something REO Speedwagon out in one of his pastures. First off, the obligatory admonition that I didn’t know that the 80’s group REO Speedwagon was named after an actual vehicle – LOL. Second, when I looked them up on google, I found things like this – man – they are cool! They were flatbeds mostly but were commonly used at fire trucks and also paddy wagons. (I can just picture these in a keystone cops movie.) My landlord was talking about looking for another one for replacement parts and maybe restoring it someday – that would be a cool project, definitely. 🙂
