A while ago, tom mentioned wandering into his garage and finding the floor covered with caterpillars. Seems to be a good year for them! We’ve been hearing them plopping from the live oak trees for over a week or so now (have been reminding myself NOT to stand under the trees – don’t need anything crawling through my hair!) and today I went outside and saw the whole side of the house covered with them – somewhat creepy to say the least! *grin* They really ARE really cool up close though – orange and blue, with little ‘eye’ like designs all down the side and those little tufts of white…. fur? Hair? Anyway – I wonder if this means we’re in for a wretched MOTH season too? 😀
