T-shirts That Confuse The Masses

“T-shirts that confuse the masses.” (and amuse the rest) is the tagline for our all new Abstract Weirdness site. Along with the original flash animations, and the new out of context quotes for added flavor, the site features all kinds of black t-shirts with fringe-focused designs – goth, weird humor, metaphysical, paranormal/ufo/conspiracy, pagan, etc. The new design is also all black and orange and magenta and purplish, but very simple. Stop by and check it out if you have a moment!

Time To Stop Making The Donuts

Time to Make The Donuts actor died. I also loved the commercial where he dresses as a woman to check out OTHER donut places, puts a finger over his upper lip to hide his moustache and says, “Do YOU Have twelve kinds of frosted donuts?” and the bemused clerk replies, “No… …. Ma’am…”

Rainy Season Is Here Finally

The rainy season is truly underway here. The grass is growing again and the hillsides are just starting to be green, the sage on the hillside is also losing its golden pallor and going green, and mushrooms are popping up. They really DO grow out of the many cow plops around here – it’s very amusing to run across. This one though, I found growing just outside our kitchen door – it looks like a starfish mushroom, or a mushroom that grew out of another mushroom and split the first one open – very weird.

Urban Decay

I’ve been resting a lot today. Mostly just looking at cool stuff on the web in between coughing fits and blowing my nose (lovely image there, I know). Spent some time looking at art at DeviantArt, and some other sites. Then, on Metafilter, I found a link to Opacity – Abandoned Photography and Urban Exploration. The photographer chronicles his (sometimes elicit – dodging security guards) visits to old, abandoned buildings – the old power plants are really cool, but the old mental hospitals (and why are there so MANY of them like this?) are just haunting and wonderfully creepy. If you’re into photos of things like urban decay, haunting visages and such, click the link and stop by. If you’re easily weirded out, you might want to do it in a well-lit room – LOL.

Tales of Woe

I hardly ever get sick, but I guess I decided that now was a good time. John too. (Why be sick all by yourself when you can BOTH be sick at the same time and share the misery!) And array of usual symptoms, seemingly flowing in waves, started Christmas Eve day. Luckily, we didn’t have any big plans for Christmas, so we just relaxed mostly or walked around like zombies. Will probably do a little more of that today, just for fun – egad.
