Yesterday about 3:12p.m. here in Central California, there was a huge BOOM noise, the feeling like a 4.0+ earthquake (single jolt, not rolling) and the windows rattled like crazy, all at once. Only thing is, according to the USGS, there was no earthquake at that time, or even a local quarry explosion (which they also list). Turns out that there was a similar boom in Mississippi on the 6th, and in San Diego, CA just a few days ago as well. Anyone else experience something like this or have any information? It’s all just so very curious!

Celtic Square Cross
Here’s my latest Celtic design, Celtic Square Cross – it’s a bit simpler than some I’ve done, but I really like the symmetry and also the abstract feel with the positive and negative space. Also, the little rivets that edge along all the knotwork give it a medieval edge to it.
I decided to offer this design on tshirts with both the parchment style background and with no background at all, just the knotwork. On the light shirts it’s black, and on the black tshirt the printing is white – go check ’em out. You can also get this design (with the parchment style background) on unframed prints from 5″ square up to 10″.

Illustration Friday – Spring
This week’s Illustration Friday challenge was “spring”. I let it sit for a day or so and then got this idea for a little watercolor illustration that just made me chuckle. If you don’t like visual puns, you might want to look away quickly:
I also thought this would look really neat as a t-shirt design, so I added it to my shop on t-shirts, journals, cards, mugs, and things like that.
