Cardinal Having Lunch

I have just a few more winter/snow photos that I want to share, then I promise I’ll try to be more timely. Or at least I’ll try to try. *grin* This is, obviously, a male cardinal eating at our birdfeeder…

It’s no wonder why a cardinal in the snow is such a classic holiday card.

All Hail!

Ahem. Well, yes, this is just a little picture of hail on our back deck, mixed with rain – I thought it looked neat in a naturally abstract sort of way:

Yes, we live in the fast lane around here. *grin*

Canadian Geese Passing Through

We have a number of ponds and wetland spots in our immediate vicinity in the Catskill Mountains here, and the returning Canadian Geese certainly know that – I’ve been hearing their just-out-of-sight honking for days now. Today, I had my camera handy as a huge flock came winging and honking overhead!

The flock was a little far away, and not exactly in a classic ‘V’ formation (maybe they were slacker or artist geese – LOL) but they were fun to spot:

It’s Spring! Time for Tulips!

Today’s the first day of spring, it’s about 65 degrees here, and it’s time for tulips! John gave me a pot of pink tulips (which will hopefully grow next year too as I’m keeping the bulbs safe!) which I couldn’t stop photographing and playing with…

I think they’d look great either singularly or as a set – just click on an image to purchase framed or unframed prints for your wall.

And thanks for looking!

January Abstract Acrylic Painting – in March

Ooops! Looks like I forgot to post an image of this painting back when it was a bit more relevant – painted it in January and TITLED it “January” too. Oh well – at least it’s technically still winter. Nevermind that it’s 60 degrees and sunny outside – hah!

So… this was inspired by a cold January snow storm with the snow flying in every direction. It’s acrylic paint on a 12″x12″ gallery-wrapped canvas.

Click on the image to get framed, unframed, or canvas prints for your wall.

Oh, and Happy St. Patrick’s Day too!
