Celtic Stargate Artwork

I call it ‘Celtic Stargate’ – it’s like Celtic Science Fiction meets 70’s Hippie Culture. Or something. What with all the moon phases and sun and star references, the knotwork and spirals, and the tie-dye type coloring and all. Hey, if you can have fusion cooking you can certainly have fusion art-ing. If they could have put this design in the Book of Kells all those years ago, I’m sure they would have – hah!

This…. unique…. Celtic design is also available on t-shirts, sweatshirts, pillows, keepsake boxes, and other gifty items:

John’s got this design on a green t-shirt, as shown above, and it’s a great and colorful combo. Click on any of the images above to see all the products available. And thanks for looking!

Tufted Titmouse Drawing

This is a light colored pencil drawing (‘light’ meaning that I let the texture of the paper show through, not pressing too hard on the pencils or trying to burnish the colors) of one of the little tufted titmouse birds that eat the seed off our back porch. (Click the image below to see a zoom or to buy prints.)

This little guy also shows up nicely on t-shirts and gifty items, like the sampling below (click to shop):

Thanks for looking! 🙂

Carnival Balloons Watercolor Painting

While I was painting this abstract watercolor painting, it became ‘obvious’ that the subject, abstract as it was, was a bunch of carnival balloons. Partially transparent, mighty colorful… balloony. I think what I like best about this is that it’s impossible for me to look at it and remain in a bad mood – LOL.

This painting is available in framed or unframed prints – just click the image above to see a larger version or to purchase – many sizes available. Thanks for looking!

Canadian Geese by the Hudson River

We were down in Poughkeepsie and found this little tiny park in between the train station and on the Hudson River between the Mid-Hudson Bridge and the Walkway over the Hudson (old railway bridge converted to a pedestrian bridge). There was a small flock of Canadian Geese strolling about, pecking lunch from the grass, etc., so I caught a brief video. Nothing exciting, just geese being geeseful:
