People always say, “Well, you have to use common sense!” But to me, “common” sense means approach the situation as you know everyone else would – kind of a “thinking/believing with the masses” thing. My experience with “mass” thinking is that it’s usually a little behind the times. I’d much rather rely on my own intuitive sense and what *I* know to be “true” for me. And here’s a quote I got in my inbox this morning that spurred this whole post into existence and nicely echoes the sentiment as well:

It’s counter to common sense, but common sense is only based on a very small subset of the universe.
