Succulent flowers outside the Blossom Hill Winery at the beginning of our long country road. The best thing about succulents is that when the wind is whipping around, they don't wave all over the place like OTHER flowers (I won't mention any names - LOL).

A while ago, tom mentioned wandering into his garage and finding the floor covered with caterpillars. Seems to be a good year for them! We've been hearing them plopping from the live oak trees for over a week or so now (have been reminding myself NOT to stand under the trees - don't need anything crawling through my hair!) and today I went outside and saw the whole side of the house covered with them - somewhat creepy to say the least! *grin* They really ARE really cool up close though - orange and blue, with little 'eye' like designs all down the side and those little tufts of white.... fur? Hair? Anyway - I wonder if this means we're in for a wretched MOTH season too? :-D

This is another example of where a small thumbnail doesn't necessarily indicate anything other than a mass of green - LOL. As the focus of this shot, there's actually a very wheatlike piece of wild plant from our yard with drops of water on it. (Apparently the wind decided it was going to cooperate this time - I can't tell you how many shots I've scrapped because the wind wouldn't sit still or I couldn't. *grin*)

Just a quick update today. (I've got some more photos in the works too - soon - LOL) John and I are working on what our friend Susan James calls a "Magic Wall" - a collage of images of what we want to create for ourselves. It's stuff we've been focusing on a long time so the process of putting together images on foam-core board is really pretty easy - no hard thinking here! And there's something pretty powerful about putting all the stuff together in one place - a certain feel to the 'big picture'. Now, where are my scissors again?

Hey - guess what!?! I'm not responsible for how anyone else feels, even if their emotion seems to be directed at me! [slaps forehead in 'I could have had a V-8' manner] I don't HAVE to deal with it at all! LOL! Life is good. :-)
