This is the obligatory 'I have my camera in the supermarket - must take perspective photo of apple display' shot. Flourescent lighting makes for a photo with a rather interesting color composition. Does anyone know offhand what color ranges flourescent lighting enhances or ignores more? I'm assuming that yellow is one of the more absent shades, in comparison to regular bulbs and sunlight.

This wouldn't have been SUCH a tragedy if it had been cheap waxy chocolate, but it was SWISS chocolate. Oh, the Leporidaerity!

First, youse gotta check out tom's latest set of architectural shots - oooooh!

On da left you'll see a moose you don't want to mess with. *grin* This wooden ornament was a late holiday gift so we kept it up beyond the usual holiday expiration date to make up for lost time.

This shot on the right? Well, it actually started out as a closeup shot of the yellow tortilla chips we were served before lunch yesterday at a local Mexican restaurant. Then I, needless to say, photoshopped it quite a bit. Turned into a surreal underwater fantasy sequence where the water comes alive and tries to talk to you - LOL.

This shot is a close-up on a bolt on our wooden gate, which at one time was painted white, but is starting to look a little 'ghostly'. Also, a few years back a cow was laying next to it and leaned on it and CRRAACK, one of the top supporting beams broke, so it doesn't swing as effortlessly as it used to.

In other news, John got his car all smog approved and registered so we're officially a two car family again! Although we've had both cars for a while now, we've never really had them both 'street able' at the same time. Now we have new options, like each of us can go wherever they want, whenever - it's no more a choice of just going with the other person or staying home. A freedom strange mostly for its uncommon novelty. The funny thing is, there's really only one direction to go, and that's a 30 minute drive into town. The other direction just takes you miles and miles and miles out into more ranch land, and the only public building is a Bar/Grill at which Bikers congregate. But anyway, now we can BOTH go into town and then still do different things - oh, I'm giddy with possibility! *grin*

It's online, it's legos, it's fun, it's JunkBot. Caution - may be addictive. *grin* (link via Whim&Vinegar)

My latest 'reflection' photo has been accepted - click here to see it. Now, folks, I'm not going around LOOKING for this stuff - this time I was just at a local eatery with John and was goofing off with my camera while we were waiting for our order, and, well, there ARE zillions of reflective surfaces in the world - it's not my fault! *grin* I mean, I also took a photo of the carpet, right? LOL. Maybe I'll put up a new tag line... "Fox Vox - making goofing off into an art form."

Okay - so you guys might be getting sick of photos, but I'm having such a good TIME - LOL. This photo is a shot of the carpet at Bevo's Pizzeria - exciting, no? I also took another 'reflection' shot for The Mirror Project at the restaurant; I'll put up the link once the photo's been approved.

In other news, Mercury and Saturn come out of their retrograde patterns on the 7th and 8th, so anything that's been 'stuck' in your life will probably start going again in a few days - if you're hip to that kind of thing. *grin*

Blast from the Past. I found a really old, mostly used, legal pad at the bottom of a drawer yesterday. Stuck between the last piece of paper and the cardboard backing was a piece of paper that had been ripped out of a different notebook. On it was the drawing to the left (click on it for the larger view), which is done in cyan marker, and is of my mother's chrome kitchen faucet and sink. I VAGUELY remember when I did this drawing - I think I'd just gotten new markers/pens and had been investigating pen and ink drawings. I think it's really cool that I actually KEPT it and also that I actually FOUND it - I mean, I must have done that probably around 1992 or something - ten YEARS ago - egad! Must have been on a Christmas vacation or something as I was living 700 miles away in North Carolina at the time. Weird!
