Yesterday we finally drove down to find the other end of our country road. It went from a paved two lane to a paved one lane that curved closely around rocky outcroppings and dropoffs, to an unpaved one lane - that's where we turned around and came back. We were going to continue on but we were all really hungry and were pretty damn sure we weren't going to run into any McDonalds if we continued in that direction. Oh, and in a word to the wise that's surely COMPLETLY unrelated to the topic of this thread, don't believe the mileage listed on the results page for this McD Locator - check the 'drive it' link before you get too excited. And, no, you don't need a GOOD reason to go on a road trip! *grin*

This was just posted to an email list I'm on and I just had to pass it along, especially after seeing the photo! It's a little TOO real and I'm not sure I could ever make it, but here it is: Kitty Litter Cake. *grin*

It's rather fun being outside and hiding from the dogs by pretending to be a tree. It's also pretty cool to watch as the dogs track your exact, nonlinear path to where you are, and not actually "SEE" you until they are within 10 feet of where you're standing. Also funny to watch the ground squirrels peek out of their holes as the dogs sniff their way over, only to duck quickly out of sight. It's like a slow game of whack-a-mole, but with sniffing and squirrels instead of whacking and moles... but "sniff-a-squirrel" is just a bit too... bizarre... as far as game titles go - ROFL.

The headline "Afghans Form Government, Attack Bin Laden's Caves" made me laugh, only because for some reason my first thought today upon reading "Afghans" was the crochet'd blankets and not the people. Such an image I have in my head! :-)

There's no HOW in making a decision. You're either doing something or you're not. And everytime you come back to that point where you COULD question yourself or fall back to a focus of 'well, HOW can..." or "so what AM I doing?" you just drop all the questions and choose again. Keep choosing what you want until you no longer choose what you had been choosing in the past. Pretty soon your energy will accumulate and punch a hole through the sameness and STUFF will happen.

(Don't worry - soon all the web design talk will stop - I promise - just not quite yet.) So I changed the 'visited link' color so that they didn't blend in with the light background much. It took a while to find a color that worked on the light AND didn't completely fade in the DARK then - I'm not sure I was completely successful, but I figured that the links on the left don't change as much and are OBVIOUSLY links - you can just run your mouse down the list if you need to get a better view of a weblog name you've already been to. Okay? Okay.

Well, if you blinked, you missed the previous design that I had up for almost 18 hours. It was colorful, but only an interim solution whilst I fiddled with something else. (See, Lisa, the fox is back - I toldya! ;-) ) Seems to check out all right in Netscape and Opera. And I know - I just used tables and not CSS - shoot me. It's cool looking, I like it, and it displays stuff. *grin* Comments?
