It was a few years ago that I first heard that "income" taxes were actually illegal and that some individuals were starting to challenge the system. Apparently, some American businesses are taking the specifics of the law to heart and are declaring themselves tax-free. First all the election bru-ha-ha comes up and we start going, "Now, wait just a minute..." and really looking closely, and now this. Cool! Things really ARE changing - I love it!
All Ren, All The Time. If you love celtic music and the stuff they play at renaissance faires, then tune into the 300 titles played at Ren Radio - they also have play lists so you can find the artists and buy the CDs - cool.
The channeled entity Abraham says, "We don't know anybody that wants anything, whether it's a change in their body, or a physical condition, or a relationship, or an event, or a pile of money- we don't know anything that anybody wants that isn't for the same reason, and that is you THINK that in the HAVING of that manifestation you will feel better. And what we're saying is- you MUST find a way to feel better FIRST, then the manifestation will happen."
Despite my desire to manifest a nice chunk of money, I have always known I was looking for something ELSE too, for MYSELF. One thing I had to do in order to find myself was shed the pressures of TRYING to create money - couldn't do it "just because" I "had to" pay bills - that's an outside motivator. I had to look inside and find why *I* wanted to pay bills. Somehow, though, in the middle of this quest, I bumbled into myself - LOL.
Here's an excellent waking up point - with the help of a little extra inflow of cash, I was able to go out and buy John's birthday present early this year. I was very happy to buy it and know John will love it, and also knew that it didn't "fulfill" me. You know how sometimes you think "Oh THIS will solve all my problems and I'll be happy then." Well, it didn't, and I wasn't surprised. That incident was just the turning point for REALLY discovering happiness though. Yes, I have the secret to happiness - come closer and I will tell you... closer.... closer.... UH - TOO CLOSE. *grin*
The secret to happiness is: Be yourself, be WITH yourself, enjoy it - you will never be lonely, you will never NEED, and the outside world will mirror this no matter which way you turn. :-)
You don't have a real appreciation of INERTIA until you've stood at the base of a hill with a 30 degree gradient and six 500+ pound COWS come RUNNING down through the sagebrush, in your general direction. *grin*
Well, Tom says he'll hopefully get back to posting soon, maybe later tonight - he has lots to say about his recent "flip off the log". {pre-apology mode on} Now, I've HEARD that breaking bones can be as easy as falling off a log, but are front flips that easy too? {pre-apology mode off}
When you take a photo of a pan of baked ziti, the photo somehow looks wrong. I mean, in real life, the gooey cheese and pasta and sauce look heavenly, but in a photo, they just look kinda SHINEY. This is another thing that I never would have known had I not had a digital camera to mess with - god bless technology. *grin*
I've gotten kinda "news"ed out lately, so I haven't been looking around the web too much for interesting things - I'm sure this phase will pass pretty soon. So for now, I'll just leave you with a quote:
"You have to count on living every single day in a way you believe will make you feel good about your life - so that if it were over tomorrow, you'd be content with yourself." --Jane Seymour
You know all the hype about good dot-com names running out - well, "they" have chosen some new suffixes - get 'em while they're hot? I think the ".biz" one is annoying simply because of the spelling - it reminds me of "donuts" and "thru" and those kind of societal word shortenings - blah. Anyway...
--.aero: Societe Internationale de Telecommunications Aeronautiques, an international aviation group, proposed .air for the airlines, airports, computer reservation systems and related industries. ICANN wants .aero instead as an alternative more globally recognized.
--.biz: From JVTeam LLC, a suffix specifically for businesses. ICANN found it the strongest of several .biz proposals. It is unclear how the company would handle requests from individuals and non-business groups.
--.coop: The National Cooperative Business Association wants a special designation for business cooperatives such as credit unions and rural electric coops. The suffix would be available for members of the group and its counterparts worldwide.
--.info: Afilias LLC, a consortium of 19 registration companies, wants .info as a truly global option, as most .com registrations are in the United States.
--.museum: The Museum Domain Management Association, a group created through the International Council of Museums, wants the suffix for accredited museums worldwide.
--.name: The Global Name Registry Ltd. wants a category for individuals. It would reserve second-level names such as smith.name and let individuals register john.smith.name or betty.smith.name. It is not clear how the company would deal with multiple individuals named John Smith.
--.pro: RegistryPro Ltd. wants .pro for professionals. Physician John Doe, for example, could register as johndoe.med.pro. If John Doe were a lawyer, he could register as johndoe.law.pro. Individuals would have to prove their professional status. Existing.com, .net and .org addresses do not require that documentation.
And, this article: Scientists show brain waves can move objects - makes me wanna say DUH - how did you THINK these things were happening? *grin* But it's still an interesting read.
Weird story of the day - Spontaneous Human Combustion... "In 1932, Mrs. Charles Williamson, of Bladenboro, N.C., was doing absolutely nothing to catch on fire, in fact, she was washing the dishes when she suddenly burst into flames. Her husband and daughter ripped her dress off and managed to extinguish the flames, but were not burned by them. Later that same day, her husband's pants suddenly caught fire, although he too was not near any cleaning fluids or flames."
(I posted this to the Eat, Link & Be Merry Food Blog too, but scotch eggs are good enough to post about twice! *grin*) In Raleigh, NC, there's a restaurant in the historic district called Greenshield's Brewery & Pub. We used to go there occasionally after work, get a pint of their homemade amber and order up a few Scotch Eggs, with their deliciously hot, horse-radishy mustard sauce. (Thanks to my friend "B" for looking at me with complete astonishment the first time I admitted to my ignorance of Scotch Eggs, and for insisting I try one.) In honor of these fine memories, here's a recipe for Scotch Eggs I found online:
Ingredients: 2 raw eggs, 1 tablespoon Dijon-style mustard, 2 cups fresh bread crumbs, 8 hard-cooked eggs (peeled), 1 pound bulk country-style sausage, and vegetable oil for frying.
Beat the raw eggs and mustard together in a shallow bowl. Place the bread crumbs in another shallow bowl. Encase each hard-cooked egg completely in a thin layer of sausage, using both hands to mold the sausage around the egg. Dip one sausage-encased egg first in the egg mixture and then coat with the bread crumbs. Set aside on a plate and repeat with the remaining eggs. Refrigerate covered at least 3 hours or overnight. Then, heat 3 inches of oil in a deep-fat fryer to 375 degrees F. Fry 2 or 3 eggs at a time, turning occasionally, until quite well-browned, 10 to 15 minutes. (You want to make sure the sausage meat is thoroughly cooked.) Remove them from the oil with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Serve the eggs, cut into quarters, at room temperature. Pass additional mustard if desired.
Ever wake up knowing something was different but not WHAT exactly? It's like a feeling or intuition that SOMETHING has changed, or that what wasn't before now IS - could be just a sensitivity to some kind of energetic 'event' - I'm not sure. Anyway - that's where I am right now - kinda looking at everything sideways, trying to figure this out. Well, at least it'll keep my busy and off the streets - something like that. *grin*
I was just about to go post the last of Tom's "absentee" writings to his blog, when I saw an entry that *I* hadn't put in, and a disturbing one at that... "Surgery tomorrow" - egad! Click here to find out what that's all about - and Tom - Welcome Back! You'll get my 'remote blogging' bill in the mail - ten days, two weeks, tops. *grin* Can't wait to hear the stories and see the photos - of the trip - not the surgery - necessarily. LOL.

Well, I've been out and about and blogger's been acting up lately so I haven't been posting that much. Actually, I'm posting this from newsblogger because of the ASP Errors I've been getting on blogger - I'm sure that will all work itself out soon.
I got a copy of "A Christmas Story" at the store yesterday - LOL - one of my favorites - (most of you will remember it as being the story of the kid who wants the Red Rider B-B gun for Christmas.) I remember the first time I saw the scenes where the little brother is dressed in a snow suit, falls back into the snow, and then can't get up - THAT HAPPENED TO ME a lot as a kid. LOL.
We also got a box of our second conscious creation stuff stuff - a t-shirt and a mug with the "create your reality consciously" theme on it - they look SO cool. I'm not JUST saying that because I designed them, but because the images transferred well to both cloth and ceramic, and sometimes that can be a crapshoot.
Well, that's all for now - perhaps I'll be back later - you can consider that a threat if you like. *grin*

It's been rather COLD here for California recently. Being from Upstate New York, I'm just now understanding that without the sun, California has little ability to retain heat. I guess that's what they mean by a 'cold desert night'. In Upstate NY, there's a lot more moisture in the air and a 95% chance of clouds being in the sky, and somehow the air doesn't feel quite as SHARP there usually. EXCEPT... where I went to school. In Potsdam, in the dead of winter, if you woke up to a bright, clear, day, you KNEW it was damn cold out - too cold for clouds even - I hated that.
In other news, I'm slowly teaching myself FLASH animation, so who knows what creative trouble I'll be able to get myself into soon. *grin*
It's the 25th anniversary of the Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald - not the song, the actual wreck. But the song - always makes me stop and listen to it - haunting, it is!
