Hot and Cool Running Celtic Dragonflies

A friend of mine challenged me to do a dragonfly design, Celtic style. It turned out to be a lot of fun pushing myself in a direction I might never have examined otherwise. I did combine a few previous elements – the background is a color-adaptation of a recent abstract watercolor and the border was an older illustration that I thought rounded things out nicely (pun sort of intended – apologies!)

Click each dragonfly to see all the t-shirts and such available with that design. I also have professional quality unframed prints available here. (The watermarked ‘foxvox.org’ is only for these images online, of course.) Thanks for looking!

I love your artwork always – you are VERY talented. These are wonderful and they look great in person.

On my way to work this morning, I was thinking about how unique it would be to get coasters of your Celtic dragonflies and a couple dragonflies from Lil Goodies and a couple of my dragonflies and use them as accents in tiling a kitchen or bathroom.

My daughter is selling the house (where I live) next year and I am trying to decide if I want to buy a house, a condo or just rent an apartment until they sell the house where they live in a couple years, buy a different / bigger house & plan to build me a “mother-in-law” apt over their new garage.

I’m thinking I’ll have to buy something so I can decorate it the way I want … surrounding myself with art created by myself & my friends such as using the coaster ceramic tiles for wall tile accents sounds like a wonderful way to decorate! I think it would be quite exciting to find just the right designs to make a real statement in a room.

Barbara – you do comments as well as you write your own blogs – LOL! I agree – definitely get something you can decorate your own way! I’ve had enough of white-walled rentals myself. 🙂

Beautiful work! I’ve never seen dragonflies done celtic style before. That Tree of Life print in your etsy shop is outstanding as well.
