What if we didn't take responsibility for other people's feelings? What if, when someone else was feeling a certain way, we just asked them about it instead of trying to change them? What if we accepted that that's just how they wanted to feel? Or what if we asked them if that's the way THEY WANTED to feel? Sometimes I think that it's commonly believed that we ARE our feelings and that having control or CHOICE about them means repressing them, but it doesn't. Sometimes I really DO want to feel self-pity. And sometimes I want to feel happy, or intense, or spaced out. In any case, I love talking with people who take full responsibility for their own feelings, even if they have no real idea or reason WHY they're feeling what they are - no reasons are needed anyway. :-) "Because I felt like it." - LOL.
